About the Role
As a Trade Liaison Officer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing suppliers, and building/ managing supplier relationships. This role requires strong communication, negotiation skills, and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively review and expand our trade network, identifying and filling gaps.
- Source trades for job-specific requirements and negotiate rates and agreements.
- Manage expectations and assist in performance management of supplier network.
- Audit supplier capacity and assist in managing increased workload post-storm events.
- Act as a liaison between the trade network and internal teams, fostering strong partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure capacity for building works in all service regions.
- Work closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong negotiation skills with an assertive and proactive approach.
- Working knowledge of construction, procurement, and supplier agreements.
- Experience working with trades and managing supplier relationships.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet contractual KPIs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of attention to detail while working under pressure.
