About the Role

As a Trade Liaison Officer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing suppliers, and building/ managing supplier relationships. This role requires strong communication, negotiation skills, and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively review and expand our trade network, identifying and filling gaps.
  • Source trades for job-specific requirements and negotiate rates and agreements.
  • Manage expectations and assist in performance management of supplier network.
  • Audit supplier capacity and assist in managing increased workload post-storm events.
  • Act as a liaison between the trade network and internal teams, fostering strong partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure capacity for building works in all service regions.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong negotiation skills with an assertive and proactive approach.
  • Working knowledge of construction, procurement, and supplier agreements.
  • Experience working with trades and managing supplier relationships.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet contractual KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail while working under pressure.
