Description
- Daily customer visits to service their accounts (driving average of 5-6 hours daily)
- Regular (monthly) overnight travel to accommodate regional pharmacy visits
- Prospecting for new business
- Growing and developing existing customers, together with generating new business opportunities
- Identify and recommend new products in existing portfolios to achieve expansion and growth in sales
- Maintain knowledge of each account's current and long-term purchase plans and objectives
- Monitor, update and drives sales cycle activities in Key Accounts
- Plan and implement an effective call plan
- Build effective business relationships with key customers
- Develop strategies to approach potential customers and increase sales
- Cold calling to set up appointments
- Demonstrate product use (where applicable)
- Answer questions from health care professionals
- Organise and execute sales presentations
- Take sales orders from customers
- Develop and present educational programs
- Maintain detailed records of all contacts and meetings and creating reports when needed
- Keeping current with the competition's products, service offerings and activity
- Work closely with marketing to develop and execute sales and marketing plans.
- Work closely with the logistics team and suppliers assessing the stocks and placing orders.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all company support departments
- provide after-sales service
Profile
- Flexible approach to working hours to accommodate role requirements
- Current driver's license
- Fitness to drive for long periods (daily and a minimum average of 5 - 6 hours per day)
- Living away from home (overnight) required for regional customer visits (average 3 days per month)
- Account management experience (pharmaceutical or health care industry desirable)
- Ability to promote and sell products and services / good product knowledge
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills, verbal, written etc.
