About the Role:
The Social & Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Community Services Manager is responsible for the daily management and supervision of the SEWB team. Ensuring culturally safe, quality service provision for all clients of Biripi ACMC.
The key objectives of the role include:
- Lead innovative program design and development, with ongoing evaluation of the community services programs according to the organisation’s strategic directions, goals and reporting requirements.
- Monitor the provision of service delivery, ensuring compliance with funding targets, budgets and legislation, and advise the Executive Health & Wellbeing of any variance, risk and change management requirements. Ensuring good practice is adhered to.
- Lead the community services team, supporting the implementation of effective decision making, risk management processes and procedures across all programs and projects.
- Provide regular individual supervision to SEWB team members.
- Keep informed about developments in the sector and actively network with external key stakeholders to build effective partnerships.
- Collaborate and work closely with all Biripi service areas, including but not limited to the SEWB team, Executive Health & Wellbeing, Biripi ACMC managers, People and Workplace Culture, Finance and Business Services, Facilities and Compliance.
- Collaborate and work closely with key external stakeholders with a particular focus on the Family Violence, Alcohol & other Drugs, Child, Youth & Family, Homelessness, Social & Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health sectors.
Essential Criteria:
- Confirmation of Aboriginality (Preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management or leadership role within a Health care or community services organisation.
- Experience in building and maintaining an engaged and high-quality multidisciplinary team within a positive team culture in a service delivery environment.
- Highly developed communication skills with clients and colleagues, especially those from an Aboriginal background.
- Experience in risk management including client and staff safety, confidentiality, duty of care, mandatory reporting, according to relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated skill in managing and supporting staff to uphold and achieve strategic goals and team/individual targets.
- High level of computer literacy and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office standard applications.
- Ability to hold a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Current valid driver’s licence
