Eden Ritchie Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Principal Financial Accountant to join a dynamic team responsible for implementing the Financial Reporting and Management Enhanced Systems (FRaMES) project.
Location : Brisbane CBD
Hourly rate : circa $94.35 per hour + Super
About the Role:

As a Principal Financial Accountant , you will play a key role in financial reporting, variance analysis, and providing strategic financial advice to support the project’s success. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition to the new system, while also contributing to key deliverables and business outputs. This project aims to replace the existing whole-of-government financial reporting and budgeting system with a contemporary cloud-based solution.
Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate effective engagement and change management.
• Provide expert financial reporting, variance analysis, and financial/non-financial insights.
• Lead the development of key reports and artefacts to support project implementation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project objectives and solutions.
• Exercise sound judgment to ensure stakeholder requirements are incorporated into the final enterprise solution.
• Support project management activities and provide strategic financial guidance.

Success Criteria: To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Extensive experience in financial accounting, particularly in annual and cyclical financial reporting and large-scale accounting consolidations.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
• Confidence in presenting to diverse audiences.

Desirable Qualifications: While not mandatory, qualifications in business, commerce, or accounting, along with project management proficiency, are highly desirable.
