About the position
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Procurement Officer , who will be responsible for purchasing goods and services required to add value to business activities.
This is a Fixed Term 24 Month role.
Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor, you will be involved in monitoring supplier’s performance, research market for better product and suppliers and quotation.
As part of your duties, you will negotiate and communicate with suppliers, raise purchase orders, expedite orders and authorise invoices for payment and provide quality information to management and internal stakeholders.
Skills And Experiences
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in administration functions. You will work autonomously and achieve results with minimal supervision, in a high volume data entry role. You will work professionally at all times with high attention to detail, have effective written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational skills and problem-solving attitude.
You will have demonstrated intermediate computer skills, with the ability to learn new systems. Ideally, you obtain a Certificate III in Administration and have knowledge of JDEdwards or similar software. Previous experience in purchasing is desirable, but not essential.
