Exciting opportunity for Professional Practice Pharmacists to join our team!

  • Flexible on location
  • Remote or hybrid work option
  • Part time (2.5 or 3 days per week)
  • 2 x Fixed term contract roles available

We are seeking two Professional Practice Pharmacists to join our CPD and Practice Support Teams. The roles will be filled on a fixed term contract basis with one being available until January 2026 and the other for a period of up to six months initially with the possibility of extension.

The roles are responsible for the development and review of practical and relevant education content and practice support for pharmacists and related audiences.

About the role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and/or review content according to the product brief and PSA management processes to ensure content is evidence-based, accurate, up-to-date, balanced, and objective.
  • Contribute to the publication process from commissioning authors through to reporting and evaluation.
  • Undertake editorial work including researching, evaluating, writing and editing information, reviewing and maintaining consistency of style, scope and structure.
  • Ensure PSA content is developed and published in accordance with legal, regulatory and ethical standards, internal policies and processes (e.g. PSA Style Guide for Technical Writing), project timelines and other requirements.
  • Undertake thorough and critical clinical review of content prepared by others.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts and external stakeholders to ensure content is fit-for-purpose and delivered on time, on budget and to quality expectations.
  • Undertake accreditation of internal and external content according to internal processes against the Australian Pharmacy Council standards.

About you:

  • Pharmacist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with current or recent experience in clinical pharmacy practice in any practice setting.
  • Demonstrable experience as a medical or technical writer or reviewer in content creation for health professionals, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present information and arguments clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to interpret health-related information from a range of reliable sources and write content based on that information that is easy to read and understand.
  • Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills.
  • Sound customer service orientation with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage a complex workload and competing priorities to achieve desired outcomes within specified timelines.
  • Sound digital/IT skills including competency in using Microsoft Office suite and online reference texts.
  • Motivated and proactive with ability to work independently under limited guidance, or as part of a local or national team.
  • Personal attributes of courtesy, tact, discretion and respect with the ability to observe confidentiality and behave in an ethical manner at all times.

Desirable

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the issues and opportunities in contemporary pharmacy practice and workforce development both nationally and internationally.
  • Experience in the development of guidelines, education and assessment for health professionals.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
