About the Role
The e-Commerce & Retail Performance Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving our ecommerce and digital marketing strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks within our ecommerce platform, Klaviyo email marketing, and graphic design domains to ensure our digital presence is optimized for user experience, engagement, and conversion.
As a Brand Image and Promotion Specialist, working in the retail and e-commerce space working across campaign strategy and execution and editing graphic design asset your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Ecommerce:
- Product Merchandising: Ensure product listings are optimized for traffic and conversion, maintaining accurate details and SEO-optimized tags for improved discovery and advertising.
- Collection Management: Organize and feature products in collections that align with marketing campaigns and seasonal launches.
- Website Front-End Management: Update the homepage weekly with new collections, providing feedback on asset placement for a seamless mobile-first experience.
- SEO Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize SEO for collections and product pages, educating the team on best practices for future uploads.
- Data-Driven Improvements: Utilize Google Analytics to recommend enhancements for website performance and identify Shopify apps to boost efficiency and ecommerce success.
Klaviyo:
- Campaign Execution: Create and deploy email and SMS campaigns using creative assets, increasing output from 3 to 5 campaigns per week.
- Segmentation & Personalization: Develop customer segments to boost engagement and ensure segments are clean and up-to-date.
- Flow Optimization: Manage and optimize automated email and SMS flows to align with customer journeys and sales goals.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key metrics, conduct A/B tests, and ensure email and SMS campaigns complement each other without cannibalizing results.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues with Klaviyo and Shopify integrations, collaborating with support teams as needed.
- Tracking & Hygiene: Ensure proper tracking of email events and maintain database hygiene.
Graphic Design:
- Asset Edits: Edit existing assets to fit required dimensions and platforms, including text edits.
- Concept Collaboration: Liaise with the creative team for new graphic assets created from concept.
About you
- Proven experience managing ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Klaviyo).
- Strong understanding of product merchandising, collection management, and front-end website management.
- Experience optimising websites for mobile and desktop users.
- Experience in building and executing strategies relating to consumer behavior based on market analysis and predictions.
- Experience in executing and managing email marketing campaigns using tools like Klaviyo.
- Knowledge of SMS marketing strategies and segmentation for personalised campaigns.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and ability to identify and implement optimisation opportunities.
- Proficiency in using Google Analytics to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with ecommerce platforms and marketing tools.
- Knowledge of integrating and maintaining Shopify apps to enhance website performance.Basic graphic design skills for editing existing assets to fit platform requirements.
- Experience collaborating with creative teams to develop new assets from concept.
- Experience monitoring and analysing key email and SMS metrics to improve campaign performance.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with different teams and provide feedback on best practices.
- Experience working collaboratively with creative teams, developers, and external agencies.
Whilst there are no specific or mandatory qualifications the following would be highly beneficial and competitive:
Degree in marketing, business, e-commerce, digital marketing etc
- Certifications such as Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce, HubSpot Inbound Marketing, or Facebook Blueprint.
- Certifications in SEO from platforms like Moz or SEMrush can be valuable for optimizing product listings and web pages.
- Certifications from platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or HubSpot Email Marketing.
- A Google Analytics certification.
