About Us
Sunnybank Community and Sports Club is a large not-for-profit business with over 40,000 members. Facilities include 250 gaming machines, café, restaurant, bars, rugby union club and function centre. We are on the lookout for an accomplished marketing professional with contemporary experience in the hospitality sector to lead our marketing initiatives.
As the Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing all elements of marketing and promotions, advertising, entertainment and brand development. Your responsibilities include crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing plan that integrates gaming, loyalty, food and beverage offerings, events, entertainment, and branding across digital and traditional platforms. The position will also be accountable for developing a high-performing marketing team (performance, lifecycle, social content & web development and customer experience), fostering a culture of creativity, innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Advertising or similar. Post graduate or professional quals would be highly regarded
- A visionary, contemporary and agile leader you are able to proactively build and foster sound relationships and engage / immerse others in the brand / business directions
- Demonstrated work experiences in clubs, hotels
- Experience in leading a team
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office / digital platforms / content development
- Experience with digital marketing mediums and portals such as Canva, Squarespace, SocialPilot, Talkbox and Mailchimp
- Experience with Odyssey gaming, Nexus and membership loyalty highly regarded
- An understanding of Google analytics / marketing metrics / data insights
- High level of eye for detail combined with excellent written communication skills
- A natural curiosity to understand all precinct operations and the ability to connect with contemporary marketing initiatives
- Sound people, communication, customer service and complex problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing digital platforms and evolving consumer behaviour
- High level of accountability, creativity and agility
- Flexibility of working hours common within the hospitality sector essential
Whilst a club focused hospitality background would be greatly beneficial, we encourage experienced marketing executives from outside the sector to apply, particularly those with a proven record in local area marketing and high volume/high frequency business activity.
