Inspira Kids is an established Early Learning Centre that has multiple centres across Victoria. Inspira Kids provides an environment where children feel safe, nurtured, stimulated and happy.

Inspira Kids is expanding their team and are seeking an experienced Cook to join their team in Laverton, in a Casual capacity. The ideal candidate should possess the expertise to prepare nourishing and nutritious meals, all within a safe and hygienic setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Developing a rotating menu that caters to the dietary needs of all children, including those with allergies and intolerances
• Ensuring safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks
• Collaborating with management to proficiently order food supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient kitchen operation
• Adhering to and maintaining kitchen standards that meet the requirements set forth by the Department of Health and all other relevant regulatory requirements

About You

The successful applicant must be able to meet the following criteria:

• Experience as a cook and/or a relevant qualification (eg. cookery, food preparation, catering)
• Hold a valid Food Handlers Certificate
• Experience working in an Early Childcare Centre is highly advantageous
• A valid Working with Children's Check
• Creative and passionate about food and providing high standards of food service
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure
