We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the Hobsons Bay City Council’s Parks department in the role of Team Member - Trees. Reporting to the Team Leader Arboriculture, the team member will undertake a wide range of Arboricultural tasks including tree planting, watering, pruning, maintenance, assessments and removal.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Undertaking a wide range of Arboricultural tasks including tree planting, watering, pruning, maintenance, assessments and removal, to a high standard and in accordance with industry practices and standards.
- Using various Council systems including CONFIRM Asset management system.
- Operating of a wide range of mechanical plant and equipment, and routine maintenance of such plant.
- Undertaking all work in accordance with Hobsons Bay City Council policies and procedures.
- Certificate III Horticulture (Arboriculture) and relevant on the job experience in arboricultural practices and be capable of demonstrating a broad technical knowledge in this field.
- Elevated Work Platform certificate and Licence to Perform High Risk Work.
- Victorian Drivers License, with medium rigid truck endorsement.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a team.
- Current Agricultural Chemical Users Permit, Certificate II in ESI – Powerline Vegetation Control and First Aid Certificate are desirable.
