Project & Business Support Officer

- We are seeking:
- an all-rounder who can provide project and executive support services to the Office of the Secretary at the Premier’s Department
- someone who enjoys and excels in doing a variety of work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same
- This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the NSW public sector providing advice and support to the highest levels of government in a temporary role as a Clerk Grade 7/8 for up to 12 months
Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for a period up to 12 months commencing at the end of April 2025.
About the Role
As the Project and Business Support Officer you will provide timely, effective administrative, secretariat, coordination support and lead on projects support to enable efficient operations within the Office of the Secretary. You will be part of a small team working to support the Director, Office of the Secretary and the Secretary, Premier’s Department highest levels of government

A bit about you
- You have strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and prioritise tasks effectively.
- You have experience in preparing high quality advice and a range of materials including meeting papers and minutes, correspondence, briefings, presentations, project documentation and monitoring project plans, to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards.
- You possess excellent communication skills, are skilled at liaising with a range of stakeholders and are a natural collaborator.
- You have a solid understanding of the Machinery of Government and enjoy staying up to date with contemporary legislation and government policy to guide strategic reforms and initiatives.

Salary : Clerk Grade 7/8. Package includes base salary ($110,266 - $122,058) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
