Lovisa Opportunity:The Financial Accountant is responsible for providing effective and accurate financial support to the business by maintaining operational expenses, balance sheet reconciliations and the associated accounting functions.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for: Preparation of general journals and accruals with associated supporting documentationPreparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations and related follow upInvestigation into reconciling items and analysis of general ledger balancesReview of weekly Payment runsPreparation of GST/VAT returns and management of related queriesAssisting with Audit and other Statutory related queriesAd-hoc financial investigation and analysis as requiredAdherence to month end and other regulatory timelines
To be successful in this role you will have: Bachelor of Commerce/Business or other related disciplineMinimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environmentCA/CPA qualifiedThorough reconciliation experience and strong technical accounting skillsUnderstanding of Accounting Standards, regulations and guidelines as they apply to the roleHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong Excel skillsAbility to analyse financial informationExperience in the use of finance systems (Oracle would be advantageous)Retail accounting experience desirable
