Job Opportunity: Logistics Procurement Manager


We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Logistics Procurement Manager to lead the procurement and category management of logistics services at EOS Defence Systems (EOS DS).


This role is an expansion of the current Shipping Officer role and will manage all inbound and outbound shipments, supplier selection, and work closely with logistics counterparts across EOS’ business units, both domestically and internationally.


The successful candidate will ensure the best cost and service outcomes for the business while overseeing the entire logistics process, including documentation, compliance, and supplier performance.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



  • Procure logistics services in line with EOS processes and requirements.
  • Prepare, manage, and validate shipping documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing Lists, CIPL).
  • Streamline internal shipping documentation processes and implement efficient tracking systems.
  • Develop procurement strategies (RFx) to select and manage freight forwarders and logistics service providers.
  • Set and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs with logistics providers.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans for logistics service providers.
  • Maintain preferred supplier lists, conduct spend analysis, and manage freight cost matrices for forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with ITAR, export/import licenses, customs clearance, and EOS policies.
  • Provide training and guidance on shipping procedures to internal teams.
  • Regularly review logistics fees, identify cost-saving opportunities, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Manage EOS’ reporting obligations to government bodies (e.g., Australian Industrial Chemical Introduction Scheme, Australian Border Force).
  • Maintain EOS’ accreditation for ISO9001, Trusted Trader program, and DISP certification.
  • Update EOS ERP system with shipping and invoicing details, ensuring accurate and timely data.

Required Experience:



  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics procurement, Business or manufacturing, OEM, FMCG, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in shipping and logistics management is essential
