We’re looking for Swim Teachers to deliver our industry leading program, teaching children an essential, lifesaving skill. We will invest in your growth and development from the very beginning, so experience is not essential.

What does it mean to be a Swim Teacher?

As a Swim Teacher at Shayne Reese Swimming, you will provide quality, safe, fun and engaging swimming and water safety lessons to children.

In this role you will:

– Teach quality swimming and water safety lessons as according to our level Drill Database with particular attention on technique.

– Enhance water safety knowledge of all students, by developing comprehensive aquatic skills, including survival skills.

– Plan adequately for each lesson and term, with the support of our lesson plans

– Modify your teaching approach to meet the individual needs of the students.

– Cultivate a positive learning environment for our students

– Contribute ideas and suggestions which promotes a culture of innovative thinking

You are motivated and engaging, and you love working with children. Your energy and positivity are contagious.

The transferable skills you will build as a Swim Instructor are especially valuable to TEACHING, HEALTHCARE, ALLIED HEALTH and SPORTS & EXERCISE SCIENCE students. However, a good fit for our team and families is what’s most important to us, so all should apply.

Experience in the aquatics or working with children would be advantageous. However, candidates without experience are encouraged to apply as fully paid training will be provided.

You hold, or are willing to obtain with our support:

– A current employee Working with Children check

– Swim teacher qualification

– First Aid & CPR

Shayne Reese Swimming requires that all applicants undergo screening procedures prior to commencement, including but not limited to:

– Holding a valid Working with Children Check.

– Two reference checks.
