The Opportunity:
The Kitchen Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the Kitchen area, by coordinating staff, maintaining high standards of WHS, Food safety and quality, Staff performance, Adhering to WMS processes, and supporting team members in achieving daily production goals.
The Kitchen Team Leader is responsible for overseeing team compliance with company policies, training, and operational procedures, while fostering a productive and safe work environment. This is an afternoon shift position working Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 8:06pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all team members comply with Safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with organizing shift schedules for team members.
- Ensure efficient and effective operation across the Kitchen Area
- Ensure that all stock movements occur within Policy and in line with process and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure that WMS Processes are followed at all times by all team members
- Coordinate staff during shifts to ensure appropriate coverage and report short falls to Shift Leader.
- Conduct housekeeping inspections and organize staff to address any cleaning needs.
- Support Team members during the day-to-day operation of Kitchen, ensuring teams function smoothly throughout the shift.
- Ensure all staff adhere to Food Safety and Quality standards.
- Assisting Production Manager/Shift Leader with Ad—hoc duties.
- Train team members on their specific duties and requirements.
- Organize housekeeping duties in accordance with company requirements.
- Lead area specific inductions for new staff.
- Complete all relevant reports / paperwork in line with required standards.
- Document and respond to any mechanical downtime.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in Production or Manufacturing (Kitchen advantageous).
- Leadership or Supervisory Experience.
- Knowledge of HACCP and GMP .
- Familiarity with reporting systems.
- Proficiency in using production software, scheduling and operational systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with Warehouse management system (D365) an advantage
