Description:
MissionUnLtd is a social purpose organisation connecting the media, marketing and creative industries with charities working with at-risk children and young people. Our purpose is to ensure that every young person can fulfil their potential. We believe that every young person has something to offer. We also believe that the media, marketing, and creative industries have the potential to use their skills, time, and resources to create significant change. Our role is to bring them together to achieve this change at scale and drive significant positive impact to thousands of young people across Australia, New Zealand and beyond every year.
Objective
To grow the impact of UnLtd in Australia & New Zealand and work with the UnLtd board to set new long-term objectives over the next 3 years.
Position Overview:
Over the past 20 years UnLtd has delivered over $390M AUD of value to its charity partners, positively impacting hundreds of thousands of young lives. UnLtd has four revenue streams - media book, events, social enterprise and donations. It has also geographically spread itself beyond NSW, into VIC, QLD and New Zealand in turn supporting Australians and New Zealanders on a national level.
The impact side of its business has matured significantly with 10 major pro bono campaigns annually securing multi-million dollar backing through creative, PR, and media agency pro-bono partnerships and amplification across all media, driving huge impact for the charity beneficiaries. In FY24 alone UnLtd created over $95M AUD of impact for its charity partners. This has led to a huge uplift in funds raised for these charities, and equally if not more importantly, awareness and education of the work that they do and championing of the causes that they support, allowing the charities to drive much more sustainable impact. The campaigns have also driven huge value for those who have worked on them, securing over 50 prestigious industry awards and adding to a more purposeful industry. UnLtd has created a platform for organisations and individuals across the industry to make a big difference at scale, without the need to leave their day job.
It has also grown from being a pure B2B focused organisation into the mainstream Consumer space through the launch of its social enterprise, MOOD Tea, selling over $3M of tea since its start in 2021 and securing a partnership with Woolworths, the largest supermarket chain in ANZ.
The next phase for UnLtd is an exciting one, as it aims to continue to grow its cash revenue through further new revenue initiatives, transition into its UnLtd 2.0 strategy to generate greater impact and maintain consistent impact growth across the core business. It is also an exciting time for the social enterprise as it seeks to move into higher profit territory through extending distribution across channels and geography. A major focus over the coming years will be opening investment opportunities from new areas which may include philanthropists, government and other areas of the business community. Positioning UnLtd to be able to capitalise on these opportunities is a key part of the expansion strategy.
