As a Senior Financial and Treasury Accountant, you will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the Blackwoods general ledgers and the related reconciliations. The role will also be responsible for Banking and Treasury functions across Blackwoods and Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety, while providing support in tax and administrative activities when required.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity and will be based onsite at the Blackwoods National Office, Macquarie Park or at our warehouse site in Greystanes
Tasks of the role:
- Support with the completion of month and year-end close processes
- Engage in tax administration activities when required
- Maintain and administer internal Group cash accounts and third-party bank accounts
- Assist in half year and annual audits including reporting requirements
- Provide cash forecasting as required by Group Treasury including hedging
- Reconcile allocated balance sheet accounts
- Collaborate with Commercial Finance Managers and Analysts on business cases requiring financial accounting input and research
- Provide reporting and commentary to various stakeholders
Some of the skills:
- CA/CPA qualified accountant with a minimum 3 years’ Treasury Accounting experience
- Previous experience in processing journals and performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience in resolving technical accounting issues under Australian Accounting Standards
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly excel and macros)
- High level written and verbal communication
- Experience with ERP systems desirable with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
