About the role:
In this role the Property Acquisition Manager / Specialist will actively develop, manage, and execute acquisitions strategies for property tenure required to deliver major infrastructure projects throughout Sydney Water’s area of operation. Work constructively with the broader Property team to develop ways of delivering cost savings through optimisation opportunities in the project planning and options phase.
You will represent Property Services team through providing technical expertise, site selection advice, and project management for the delivery of property acquisition initiatives meeting all facets of legislative and regulatory compliance requirements required to deliver the maximum benefit to Sydney Water.
About you:
- Sound knowledge of legislative and/or regulatory requirements associated with the delivery of acquisitions.
- Experience working within the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991
- 3 - 5+ years’ property industry experience working in property, property development and/or planning
- Experience in dealing with Developers, Local Councils, NSW Government agencies, and or statutory authorities.
- Experience in property acquisition transactions
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing and delivering property related projects and or acquisitions
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant facets of Property (interpreting valuations, town planning advice and legal documentation etc)
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
- The ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at various levels within an organisation
- Sound planning, organisational, time and project management skills, including the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects and meet objectives
- Relevant tertiary qualification (property, project management, valuation, utilities, business or related discipline) or experience deemed equivalent.
