THE ROLE
We are on the lookout for aDayforce System Specialist to optimize and support JD Sports Dayforce platform. This role manages system troubleshooting, configuration, and enhancements while ensuring compliance and data integrity. This role will partner with stakeholders to deliver solutions, drive system improvements, and support upgrades, enabling a seamless user experience at all touch points.
Reporting into the GM of People Culture, this role is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve support tickets, ensuring SLAs are met
- Escalate and collaborate with Dayforce Managed Services Support to resolve complex tickets
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to less experienced team members in resolving system issues
- System Configuration & Enhancements
- Build, test, and deploy system changes and enhancements in line with change and release management processes
- Configure business processes, workflows, and security settings in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure integrity and accuracy
- Stakeholder Engagement & Solutions Delivery
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify development needs and provide technical solutions that optimize system performance and user experience
- Develop high-quality reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making
- Provide Dayforce subject matter expertise and best-practice recommendations
- Training & Knowledge Management
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, and self-service resources for IT Service Desk, employees, and AI chatbots
- Document and map system processes and workflows for ongoing reference and optimisation
- System Upgrades & Enhancements
- Lead the assessment of bi-annual Dayforce releases and support approved deployments to ensure the business leverages new system capabilities effectively
WHO YOU ARE
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in Dayforce configuration, troubleshooting, and support
- Proven ability to manage and resolve system issues across multiple support levels
- Experience working with change management, compliance, and audit requirements
- Ability to analyse data, create reports, and develop user-friendly dashboards
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Experience in documenting system processes and training materials
- Familiarity with HRIS/IT Service Management tools and self-service support frameworks
