We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Networks & Systems Specialist to join a Global Capital Markets & Exchange group. Head quartered in Sydney, and with offices across Asia, this small but successful organisation owns Financial Exchanges, Brokerages, Funds and Capital Management firms, as well as a thriving Loans and Real Estate Investment businesses. As a Networks & Systems Specialist, you will be the key resource, responsible for the effective planning, provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, as well as related infrastructure. You will also play a major role in technical research and development to drive innovation across IT infrastructure for the group.Responsibilities:
- Administer Windows, Linux, applications, and database servers
- Monitor network to ensure availability and perform necessary maintenance
- Supervise or work with other network support and client server specialists
- Purchase, build, and configure network, hardware, and software
- Install, configure, and support organization’s operating systems, LAN, WAN, leased line, and Internet
- Manage external service providers
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Cisco/Azure, M365, Ubuntu, Linux (RHEL), and Windows
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Solid Bash/ksh shell scripting
- Experience with Hyper-V, Virtual Box, MS SQL, MySQL, and Informix
- Proficiency in Windows Active Directory, IIS, and Group policy
- Strong understanding of Networking and cyber security concepts
- Hands-on hardware experience with Sonicwall Firewall, VPN, Cisco Switches, and WAN/MPLS
- Familiarity with PABX and VoIP
- Experience dealing with third-party suppliers/vendors
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to changing business needs
- Well-organized with an eye for detail
Day-to-day :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends
- Document system configurations and changes
