Overview: This role is initially a 12 Month Fixed Term contract for the new system implementation. The successful candidate will handle BAU processing in Preceda, assist with audit and new system testing whilst acting as a 2IC/Assistant Manager providing support to the payroll team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles.
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
- Provide expert knowledge on Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA).
- Act as the first point of contact for escalations and work closely with the Payroll Manager
- System Testing, adhoc support with the new system implementation
- Support and assist a team of 6 payroll officers, ensuring smooth operations and resolving any issues
- Experience with Preceda payroll system essential
- Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Officer handling high volume payrolls, ideally on a weekly basis.
- Leadership qualities to step up and support the team
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
