HSPlus Accountants & Advisory is an independent boutique firm based in Red Hill, Queensland. Our goal is to provide exceptional service and develop strong relationships with all clients. As expert advisors, we work with our clients to optimise the financial side of their personal and professional business, providing services such as Business Advisory, Tax Compliance and Accounting, Self-Managed Superannuation, Virtual CFO, Wealth Creation and Asset Protection.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be a motivated self-starter who is able to work in a team environment and is willing to learn all aspects of our accountancy practice. If you are a confident and motivated Accountant willing to undertake tax compliance and business advisory duties for a diverse portfolio of clients, we would encourage you to apply.

Additionally, the role will see you undertake the following:

  • Preparation of Tax Returns for Individuals, Trusts, Companies, Partnerships & SMSF.
  • Preparation of Financial Statements, BAS/IAS/PAYG (for the above).
  • Build relationships with clients.
  • Use of Xero & FYI.
  • Research (general taxation issues).
  • Various business advisory projects under the supervision of our Managers and Directors.

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • At least 2 years experience as an Accountant.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, XPM, FYI Docs, BGL and QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Great time management skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
  • CPA or CA certification would be beneficial.
  • A good understanding of general accounting principles.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have a pro-active and hard-working mentality.
