Moreover, we take pride in developing our people.About YouThe Senior Accountant will play a key role in the finance team by taking ownership of compliance and financial reporting tasks, streamlining month-end close processes, and supporting strategic finance initiatives. This position is designed to reduce the workload of the Finance Manager, improve efficiency, and enhance the finance team’s ability to serve as a business partner across departments. The role will also involve implementing NetSuite process improvements and automation to drive efficiency.
About the RoleJoin a National Shared Services Finance team as a Senior Accountant. In your new role, you will draw from previous experience and be responsible for tasks such as:Month-End financial reporting and analysisPreparation and review of balance sheet reconciliationsPreparation of annual financial statements for the consolidated groupAssist with requests from external auditorsReviewing all aspects of tax (GST, Income Tax, Payroll Tax) and other compliance reportingBusiness partnering and Process ImprovementPreparation of budgets and forecastsCash flow managementGovernance, Risk Management & Internal Controls
Key AttributesCPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion)Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a commercial finance environment at a senior levelExperience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly regardedKnowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirementsStrong organisational and analytical skills with a proactive mindsetAttention to detail and accuracy
