Working alongside a professional and dynamic team in an organisation that values diversity and inclusivity, this role will be responsible for timely and effective financial analysis, budgeting, reporting and advice across a large directorate.
Main responsibilities include:
- Being a helpful point of contact for a range of finance matters across a large directorate
- Delivering strategic financial analysis and advice for financial projects
- Preparing monthly financial reporting
- Preparing and overseeing the annual budget, along with operational performance and business risk
- Coordinating pre-employment checks
- Strong experience in a similar finance role (this role doesn't have any direct reports so leadership skills aren't necessary)
- A proven track record of delivering effective financial business partnering, ideally in a large and complex organisation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and assertiveness, with an ability to work cohesively with various internal and external stakeholders while enforcing annual budget
- Strong organisational skills with the capability to produce accurate work within strict timeframes
- Agile and dedicated mindset, with a team-oriented and professional attitude
