What’s needed now, is a vibrant, hands-on finance leader to energise the heart of the operation.
To secure this fantastic, forward looking leadership role, you will need a demonstrated understanding of regional communities, passionate about the landscape and exceptionally good at your job.
That means you have everything needed to ensure all financial aspects of this important peak body meet best practice standards. As well, you need the capabilities to run the corporate services functions -Admin, Facilities and Fleet Management, HR and IT Services.
Skilled in navigating the government funding environment you have developed/grown resilient funding streams, provided expert financial advice, safeguarded the effective and efficient use of resources, complied with legislation and accounting standards and provided accessible, accurate and timely financial information, analysis and commentary.
With experience in an Executive Leadership Team, you will have contributed to finance and governance committees and reported to the Board. Pragmatic, practical and definitely approachable, you’re always happy to roll up your sleeves and work hard to absorb – and hopefully improve – all the mechanics of ‘your’ special organisation.
To your advantage will be any experience in a rural business, the agricultural industry or the renewables sector, especially where that involved change management. As will be your enquiring nature, ability to translate complex financial concepts into everyday speak and your advanced proficiencies across Microsoft (especially Excel), XERO accounting software and the Employment Hero package.
But most important of all will be how well the values you live by align with those of this organisation. Empathy, engagement, honesty and ethics all rate strongly at this excellent and ground breaking not for profit enterprise.
