About the Role
The Autism Association’s Employment program is the only Autism Specialist DES employment provider in Australia and has been delivering high quality supports to individuals with Autism for over twenty years. We also have a growing NDIS Employment program which is achieving positive outcomes for autistic job seekers.
We are seeking a highly motivated results-driven individual to lead our highly skilled employment team of employment consultant’s and job coaches. Reporting to the Executive Manager, the Employment Manager will lead the team to achieve quality employment outcomes for all of our jobseekers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, dynamic and organised leader who is committed to providing exceptional employment services and opportunities to individuals with Autism.
The Role
- Will further develop and expand the Employment service to assist job seekers to gain open employment through DES and NDIS programs.
- Lead a highly motivated and effective team.
- Ensure team Key Performance targets are met.
- Motivate, support and mentor staff in a positive and collegiate working environment
- Seek, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with prospective employers.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, where required.
About You
In this role, you will ideally have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the DES and NDIS Disability / Employment Services industry (contractual obligations, guidelines, management, and performance systems).
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a team.
- Proven ability to provide a high-quality employment placement service.
- Proven ability to ensure the DES and NDIS programs meet respective compliance standards.
- Relevant commercial and business acumen.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
