Client Overview: Our client is an international energy producer specialising in the acquisition, exploration, development, and optimisation of petroleum and natural gas properties. The company operates across North America, Europe, and Australia.
Position Overview: Our client is looking for a Project Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in the hydrocarbons industry. The ideal candidate will have a background in Mechanical Engineering; however, candidates with degrees in Process or Mechatronic Engineering will also be considered. This role involves overseeing various engineering projects, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily operations, maintenance, and engineering tasks to ensure seamless functionality.
- Assume accountability as a system owner, overseeing performance and addressing any issues that arise.
- Manage small to mid-sized maintenance and engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Evaluate technical and vendor reports, designs, and Manufacturer Data Reports (MDRs) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop work packs, coordinate materials, and manage resources effectively.
- Liaise with and manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Engage in field visits to gain hands-on experience and oversee project implementation.
- Collaborate closely with our Management of Change system and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management systems to uphold compliance and safety standards.
- Work proficiently with various Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, Nexus, and Incident Reporting Systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the hydrocarbons industry.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms like SAP and Nexus.
- Strong ability to review and interpret technical documents and reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong commitment to maintaining safety and environmental standards.
