Our client is a national ground engineering contractor specialising in, but not limited to, rock bolts, anchoring, soil nails, shotcreting and retention within the civil infrastructure sectors covering slope stabilisation, retention and ground support projectsThis role will be a mix of site and office-based duties and as the main safety person on site you will be responsible for all aspects of our client's site based safety procedures, including audits, with a strong emphasis on client facing responsibilities as you will be our clients point of contact for all aspects of OHS&Q.
As our client is a specialist contractor, applicants will ideally come from a second tier specialist civils contracting background with a hands-on approach, however applicants with a Tier 1 background looking for a new challenge will also be considered.
As our client is a high-profile ground engineering and stabilisation contractor, previous experience in projects of this nature would be advantageous.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- CAIRNS BASED - ESSENTIAL
- Minimum 3 yrs Safety Management Experience
- Tertiary / Degree Qualified
- Civil Contracting Not Consultancy Background
- Knowledge of Australian Safety Legislation and ISO Standards
- Stable Employment History
- Strong Communicator With Attention To Detail
- Proven Experience Interfacing With Both Clients And Clients Representatives
