About the Centre/Service
Hurlingham Preschool is a community managed, sessional kindergarten that has provided the highest quality early childhood education and care to generations of early learners. Nestled in the greenery of a large neighbourhood park, and as a recently renovated two room centre with an Exceeding rating, currently we offer two x 4yo groups and two x 3yo groups across a varying timetable. We have close links to our community and local schools and a highly engaged committee of management and leadership team to support our Education team in their professional practice.

Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, motivated and passionate Early Childhood Educator with a Diploma qualification for a permanent part-time position. The role involves;- In conjunction with the ECT, implement and facilitate age-appropriate, play based educational programs and activities that support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of children based upon the practices and principals of both the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks
- Observe, monitor, and document children's progress, making adjustments to cater to their individual needs and interests
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that adheres to all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships and support the overall wellbeing of each child
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge
- A Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator who is passionate about their profession and career.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Childcare Educator in a similar setting
- Strong understanding of child development, early learning theories, and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- A genuine passion for nurturing and guiding children, and a commitment to providing high-quality care
- Proficiency and compliance with National Law, the National Regulations and the National Quality Standard requirements, including child protection and workplace health and safety.
Qualifications
Skills and experience The successful candidate must have- A recognised Early Childhood Diploma qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar sessional kindergarten setting.
- Current First Aid qualifications
- A valid Working With Children's Check
- A great attitude and be a team player
- A commitment to working in and providing a Child Safe environment, with an understanding of the eleven Child Safe standards
