Description:

One Basin Cooperative Research Centre (One Basin CRC) is a focused research collaboration developing policy, technical and financial solutions to support and reduce exposure to climate, water and environmental threats in the Murray-Darling Basin. One Basin CRC works collaboratively with stakeholders to conduct research in the Basin, with regional hubs across Loxton, Mildura, Griffith and Goondiwindi.
We are looking for a Business & Finance Executive Support Officer to work closely with the executive team and build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities of the role include:Ensure efficient delivery of administrative and financial support services;Prepare accurate and timely advice, information, or service referral in response to inquiries;Prepare documentation to a high degree of accuracy and professional presentation; Arrange travel itineraries, conference registrations, accommodation, and expenses;Coordinate meetings and organising of conferences, workshops and events;Work with the Business Operations Manager and Head of Finance & Risk in processing all invoices, remittances, purchase orders, reconciliation of credit cards and reporting within the Xero finance system; andAssist with the processing of expense reimbursements, various reporting and ensure compliance with all Financial Policies and Delegations.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following: Experience in a similar role, providing administrative and financial support to a senior team; Strong communication and interpersonal skills;Competency in producing a range of administrative and financial reports with a high attention to detail;Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment;Ability to prioritise workload to meet operational requirements;Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and problem-solving approach; Experience with financial software (Xero or similar), familiarity with accounts payable and receivable procedures and reporting and computer literacy in Microsoft Office; andCompletion of an undergraduate tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
Previous success in a similar role, within a Cooperative Research Centre, or tertiary education environment would be ideal.
