We have a full-time or part-time (0.6 FTE) work-from-home role available for a senior Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supervision!

Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to our Speech Pathology Allied Health Assistants
  • Work with Speech Pathology Allied Health Assistants to develop and implement their professional development plans
  • Collaborate with the management team and Speech Pathologists to continuously improve the Speech Pathology services at The Shine Centre.
  • Develop Speech Pathology treatment plans for clients
  • Ensure that Speech Pathology sessions with AHAs are being implemented to the highest standard.
  • Attend Speech Pathology sessions with AHAs via telehealth
  • Complete Speech Pathology Assessments as required
  • Complete Speech Pathology reports and letters as required
  • Attend team meetings and case conferences via Teams
  • Write case notes for therapy sessions and supervision sessions
  • There are options to come into the clinic face-to-face periodically, but this is not required.

What would the role look like?

  • Full-time 22-23 hours of the AHA Speech Program. Part-time (3 days) 12-14 hours of the AHA Speech program.
  • Provide daily supervision to the Speech Pathology AHAs (individual and/or group supervision)
  • Full-time 2 hours/week of Speech Pathology program development/project work
  • Remaining hours are for other tasks associated with the role (e.g., sessions, administration, report writing, receiving supervision, attending team meetings and so on)

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Hold a degree in Speech Pathology
  • Experience in paediatrics
  • Be able to supervise (or be at a point in your career you are ready to supervise! We will assist you with training and supervision so you can be confident in your role and abilities.)
  • Currently have the right to work in Australia.

The Shine Centre is passionate about providing services to people in regional Victoria. We have clinics in Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat. Additionally, we offer telehealth / work-from-home positions for senior clinicians.

Our providers have full admin support from our reception team. We also have set administration time in your diary so you can perform all aspects of your role and connect with the other team members.
