THE COMPANY Lanterns Australia in Clyde North, Victoria are looking for an enthusiastic Full time Chefs/Cooks, who has specialised experience in Vietnamese cuisine and ability to use a wok cooker and understands the intricacies of wok cooking, or be willing to learn the new skill. Position Details • planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies • monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation • discussing food preparation issues with Head Chef, Managers, kitchen and waiting staff • demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures to junior staff, especially the use of wok cookers and specialist wok cooking techniques. • preparing and cooking food to business standards • explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations to the highest of standards. • responsible for training staff Qualifications required • At least 1 years of prior experience as a Chef/Cook • Formal qualifications are preferred. • Experience with stock control and ordering desirable but not essential • Drivers’ license and vehicle to get yourself to and from venue Skills Required: • Good team player • Strong attention to detail • Meet deadlines • Work under pressure • Reliable • Committed to OH&S • Problem Solver • Minimum of 1+ years in a similar role. Salary Offered. Salary negotiable between $70,000 to $80,000 for the right candidate.
