Tandoor Indian Cuisine is currently seeking a Chef for a full-time contract.It is an exciting opportunity for Indian curry chef to join our team and be responsible for the preparation and production of all items in the restaurant Position: Chef Salary: $74,000.00 plus superannuation Hours: 38 hours/week Mode: Full time Location: 105 Bridge Mall, Bakery Hill VIC 3350 Experience required: Minimum 2 years in a relevant role,and Previous experience in cooking over tandoor and curry section. Working full time, the candidate must be able to handle all facets of food preparation and kitchen management. The ideal candidate will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to: * Being responsible for all food preparation and production * Develop menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies * Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation * Discussing food preparation issues with Manager and kitchen staff * Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures * Creating and maintaining positive team dynamic * Preparing and cooking food with a variety of vegan dishes * Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations * Supervise staff * Ensuring weekly food costs and wages are within budget and food waste is kept to a minimum; Please email your resume at ***************@gmail.com Qualification and Skills: Candidate must have at least a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality Management with at least 2 years of full-time work experience as a chef Applicants also must have * Excellent time management skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
