Public Sector People are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Organisational Development Specialist to lead and implement key organisational development programs for a Local Council in Melbourne's East on an initial 3 month contract with potential to extend.In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s culture, capability, and performance through innovative programs and initiatives. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to embed best practices across learning & development, performance management, employee engagement, and succession planning
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement organisational development strategies in areas such as leadership, workforce planning, performance, engagement, and reward & recognition.Manage the Performance Planning & Development cycle and drive a culture of continuous improvement.Oversee the Employee Engagement Survey process, including design, data analysis, and action planning.Lead the design and implementation of learning & development initiatives, incorporating face-to-face, online, and blended learning solutions.Provide strategic coaching and leadership to the Organisational Development Officer.Manage the Reward & Recognition Program and Council’s Divisional and Annual Awards.Oversee Council’s induction programs, compliance training, and professional development strategies.Drive continuous improvement in systems, tools, and processes related to organisational development.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in organisational development, learning & development, or human resources in a large, complex organisation.Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Learning & Development, or a related field.Demonstrated success in designing and delivering learning and OD initiatives that drive business impact.Strong coaching, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience in project management, workforce planning, and employee engagement strategies.
