Your future role:
Reporting to the CAPEX Manager, the Automation Maintenance Engineer will be in charge of first line of defense in trouble shooting all automation and mechanical components (Robot, PLC, spot welding equipment and Jigs) Repair inoperative robots in efficient timeline for Production to re-start. This is a newly created role, full time permanent.


A bit about your new role:

  • Develop preventative and corrective maintenance schedules, manuals etc.
  • Define and maintain critical spare parts list and inventory.
  • Define procure any specialized tools and equipment for maintenance of automation system.
  • Maintenance, and adjustments of variable speed drives,
  • Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations.
  • First line of defense in trouble shooting all automation and mechanical components (Robot, PLC, spot welding equipment and Jigs).
  • Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
  • Following all established safety procedures and utilizing safety equipment as required
  • Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Work within a production cross functional team
  • Ensuring 5S of work area is maintained
  • Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to ensure minimum disruption for production

  • Automation and PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledgeable of PLC and Robot programming
  • Trade qualification or Degree in Engineering (mechatronics, mechanical, electrical or electro technical)
