About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at our Southbank office in Melbourne. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting and compliance for our Australian operations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the Aged Care Act, Department of Health obligations, and Australian accounting standards. You'll be responsible for preparing key financial reports, supporting tax compliance, and collaborating with operational and finance teams to align financial data with business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare the financial reporting related to the aged care sector including (but not limited to) Aged Care Financial Report (ACFR) and Quarterly Financial Report (QFR).Completion of tasks during month-end and reporting periods, in close collaboration with our New Zealand and Australia based teams.Support the preparation of the Group financial statements and lead the preparation of the Australian subsidiary financial statements.Coordinate the annual audit process with external auditors to the extent that it relates to the Australian business, providing the necessary financial data and documentation.Be the expert in all requirements in relation to the aged care and retirement living sector in Australia.
