Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and a proactive approach to estimating costs and preparing accurate project proposals.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Preparing detailed take-offs and pricing schedules for labour, materials, and subcontractors.
- Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure feasibility and accuracy in cost projections.
- Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and compliance.
- Preparing and submitting tenders and quotes in a timely manner.
- Monitoring project costs and adjusting estimates based on scope changes or unforeseen factors.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost structures.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $80,000 - $100,000 , plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week .
