About the Role
Are you seeking an opportunity to showcase your exceptional level of attention to detail? We have a fantastic, part time, fixed term position (option to work equivalent to two or three days per week) for an enthusiastic Payroll Officer. You'll be joining a terrific team within a highly reputable emergency services organisation.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager your days will be varied and see you process master file changes and prepare and process payroll calculations as required for new starters, leave conversions, salary changes, performance payments, promotions, reclassifications, transfers and terminations; ensuring that all changes are accurate, timely and meet all terms and conditions of employment in accordance with relevant legislative provisions.
In addition, you will:
- Prepare, calculate and process ad-hoc payroll adjustment calculations for variances to standard pays, ensuring that changes are accurate, timely and meet all terms and conditions of employment in accordance with relevant legislative provisions.
- Provide prompt advice to CFA managers and employees in relation to pay related matters across the employee lifecycle
This role requires proven experience as a payroll professional, preferably in a large, diverse organisation with complex EBA based payrolls, and a responsive and professional approach to managing deadlines.
About You
Crucial to your success in this role will be your ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality with HR payroll records combined with proven experience in interpreting and applying provisions of EBA's and awards.
You will have good interpersonal skills combined with the ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders, providing them with an exceptional level of customer service.
In addition, the person we are seeking will have well developed organisational and time-management skills along with good computer skills and experience with computerised payroll systems (Pay Global preferred but not essential).
