Description:

The In-House Mobile Plant Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleet of mobile plant equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Perform routine maintenance schedules and service procedures on mobile plant equipment.

2. Diagnose mechanical issues and provide efficient repair solutions.

3. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

4. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.

5. Collaborate with other departments on equipment usage and mechanical issues.

6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition.

7. Assist in training or mentoring junior staff, if applicable.

8. The role involves travel to various locations, including Sydney, the Blue Mountains, and surrounding suburbs.

9. Given the nature of the work, ensuring safety and awareness on civil construction sites and all environments is paramount.

**Qualifications:**

- Relevant certification as a diesel mechanic or a similar field is preferred.

- Previous experience in mobile plant maintenance/repair is highly desirable.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.

**Working Conditions:**

- This is a full-time position, which may require working overtime and being on call as needed.

- The role involves physical labor and working in varying weather conditions, requiring adherence to safety practices at all times.

- It is crucial that candidate possess a 'can-do' attitude, take initiative, and have the ability to work independently.
