We're seeking a passionate and skilled Chefs to join our team and help us deliver an authentic and exceptional dining experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a major international brand's launch in Australia and contribute to Sydney's vibrant culinary scene. Anticipated opening in 2025.
We are specifically seeking individuals with experience in the following:
- Chef de Partie: Responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen.
- Sous Chef: Second-in-command in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef.
- Pastry Chef: Specializing in desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
*About the Role:*
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Chef to plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food in our new restaurant. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
* Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
* Discussing food preparation issues with management and kitchen staff.
* Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
* Preparing and cooking food.
* Enforcing hygiene regulations.
* May select and train staff.
*Skills and Experience:*
* Proven experience as a Chef (minimum 3 years preferred) in one of the specified roles (Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Pastry Chef).
* Formal qualifications in culinary arts (AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or equivalent) are highly desirable. Relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
* Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly sweets and savoury snacks.
* Excellent culinary skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum (depending on experience)
