Description:
Clicks IT Recruitment is working with a client on the hunt for a Project Technical Lead.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership and system engineering oversight to ensure the project's monitoring system meets regulatory and operational standards. You will act as the primary technical contact, managing system requirements, design, integration, testing, and acceptance. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to oversee implementation, risk management, and compliance with safety and security guidelines.
The Role:
- Location: Eagle Farm, Brisbane
- Contract: 12 Months
- Rates: $900 p/d inc super OR + GST
The Responsibilities:
- Perform systems engineering tasks in alignment with established technology management frameworks, processes, policies, and guidelines.
- Prepare documentation for system upgrades, including requirements specifications, statements of requirements, project proposals, and cost estimates.
- Develop and maintain key technical documents to ensure clarity and governance, including system engineering management plans and test and evaluation management plans.
- Create, maintain, and peer-review test documentation, ensuring comprehensive trace ability of requirements.
- Develop and manage solution, system, and engineering documentation, translating logical designs into physical implementations.
- Provide specialised technical expertise to support project delivery.
- Engage in cross-training to develop advanced skills and technical capabilities.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements, evolving technologies, and relevant regulations.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships to ensure seamless coordination of activities in support of organisational goals.
- Manage performance with professionalism and accountability, fostering trust within the team.
- Share knowledge and actively mentor less experienced team members to support skill development and team growth.
Key Skills:
- A degree in Engineering or Information Technology from an accredited institution, or an equivalent certification for overseas qualifications.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with systems engineering practices, the software development lifecycle, and system management processes.
- Proven expertise in designing, developing, testing, and implementing reliable software systems, with a focus on quality assurance, configuration management, and adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Experience in managing technical solution delivery within project frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational strategies and initiatives.
- Strong documentation skills, including the ability to prepare and review solution architecture and system design documents.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks, work independently with minimal supervision, and contribute as a senior team member.
- Experience in stakeholder and vendor management, ensuring effective collaboration and successful project outcomes.
- Additional experience in regulated or safety-critical systems, particularly within high-risk operational environments, is highly desirable.
- Eligibility for Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) registration with Engineers Australia is an advantage.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, regulatory guidelines, and compliance requirements, including information security principles and software assurance standards.
