About the role
We are seeking a meticulous in-house bookkeeper to keep our books up-to-date and process payroll for our team. The hours of the role weekly will vary depending on work load but a will be between 15 and 25 hours weekly.
Skills and experience
Essential experience:
- Full scope of Accounts Payable and Receivable,
- Creditor maintenance experience;
- The ability to verify, reconcile and enter invoices, process payments, remittances and supplier invoices;
- Client invoicing;
- End of month General Ledger, petty cash, and bank reconciliation including aged debtor reporting;
- Processing payroll, including verification of time sheets and managing payments of superannuation for staff (includes duties relating to industry allowances and awards);
- Preparation of BAS/GST, PAYG and other statutory returns as required;
- ATO Account and record Management file maintenance;
- Ongoing maintenance and organisation of files;
- Various administration tasks as required, including assistance with project estimating, attending to telephone calls, purchase orders etc;
- Professional aptitude in liaising with Clients, Staff, Contractors, Management, Accountants, Insurance Brokers etc
- Assist in some HR matters
- Debt collecting
