Role Title: AO7 Senior Project ManagerLocation: Cannon Hill
Hourly Rate: $85.31 per hour + super
Contract Duration: 3 months with potential for extensions
Role Requirements
Proven experience managing client-side construction and upgrade projects in comparable organizations.Educational background in building construction.Knowledge of Australian Standards for tendering and evaluating non-price criteria in tenders.Understanding of contract law principles, construction industry practices, and stakeholder responsibilities in building projects.Experience or familiarity with the roles of Principal’s Representative and Contract Superintendent.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Ability to work autonomously and lead project teams comprising both internal and external resources.
Key Responsibilities
Develop project management plans, assess various procurement and delivery approaches, and demonstrate a solid grasp of risk, value management, and life-cycle considerations.Draft briefs for construction projects, define terms of reference for consultants, and prepare consultancy tender documents.Ensure designs align with project intent, statutory requirements, value-for-money principles, and overall compliance standards.Create tender documentation for both Design & Construct (non-traditional) and fully documented (traditional) contracts.Oversee project commissioning, handover documentation, and defect liability periods, with an understanding of maintenance requirements.Generate reports for management and clients on project performance.Deliver projects within set timelines, budgets, and quality expectations while ensuring client satisfaction.Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety regulations.Develop fee proposals and contribute to achieving project profitability.Maintain up-to-date project management data and systems.Work within approval limits and escalate issues as needed.Keep thorough and auditable records of project activities.Seek opportunities to optimize business systems and processes for greater efficiency.Manage competing priorities among project stakeholders and team members.Provide ad-hoc guidance and support to project managers reporting to this role.
