About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Group People Manager and working as part of a newly formed People team, you will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support on HR matters, ensuring HR solutions and services enable operational delivery. In this role, you will manage day-to-day HR operations, delivering effective support across the organisation while building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
This position is a maternity leave cover for 8 months and is based in our Head Office in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane QLD.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain internal records and registers, including generating HR reports
- Manage HR inbox and support the escalation of queries to HR and Recruitment Team
- Provide responsive and practice advice to leaders and employees for policy or procedure queries
- Supporting HR BP’s / Recruitment team & leaders with employee lifecycle management.
- Prepare HR documents, including updating HR templates as required
- Support the implementation of HR/Payroll systems and processes
A tenacious self-starter, you enjoy taking ownership, are solutions-focused and outcome orientated. You can prioritise and organise your time, have an exceptional eye for detail and a proactive mindset. You have developed a reputation as a creative go-getter with great energy, and someone who enjoys supporting a team delivering high impact outcomes.
Key attributes:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a HR environment and blue-collar sector
- The ability to problem solve and think critically
- Ability to juggle conflicting priorities, manage to deadlines, stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office package
