Maintenance & Services Officer
Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. The College has a vacancy for a Maintenance and Services Officer. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until November 2025 with the possibility of extension. Hours of work will be 9:00am to 5:00pm, including a half hour unpaid meal break.
Payment is at Level 3 of the Services classification of the Catholic Employing Authorities Single Enterprise Agreement – $37.49 per hour.
This is an active and physical position within the Services Team at the College. This position will involve a variety of tasks, including routine inspections, minor repairs, and assisting with larger maintenance projects to ensure the smooth operation of the College.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with setting up for college events and activities.
- Drive vehicles and machinery to assist operations/grounds
- Assist fleet management, cleaning, bookings, and servicing logistics
- Assist with the maintenance and cleaning ticket system
- Assist deliveries and store man roles when required
- Assist contractors, sign in procedures, access and support safe work practices
- Contacting suppliers and wholesalers for services to support compliance requirements and preventative maintenance
- Compile and assist with asset register framework
- Pickup/drop deliveries
- Term break - various maintenance, grounds tasks and audits of buildings and grounds
Essential Criteria
The ideal applicant will have:
- Full drivers licence
- Computer and technology skills for various maintenance software portals and documentation
- MEX Maintenance experience (desirable)
- Valid Blue Card
- Demonstrated capacity to work well in a team and unsupervised
- Fit and able to carry out physically demanding work
