Peoplebank are recruiting for a Senior Cyber Engineer work in the Adeliade CBD on a contract basis, initially to 30th June 2025.You will need to have 2-5+ years of relevant IT Security / Cyber experience, ideally working in an enterprise environment.
As a Senior Cyber Engineer, will support the secure implementation of systems from concept through to operations. You will also use your expertise to inform secure practices and ensure that the appropriate security controls are incorporated into products and service designs for a large, security and performance logging solution.
SIEM log management would be advantageous for this role and your general responsibilities will include:
Providing expert advice to the wider department as well as other government agencies on security engineering practices, technical security controls and other related topics.Leading the creation and implementation of security designs, and solutions.Assisting management in enforcing approved security architecture, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.Contributing expert knowledge to governance in the security domain.Ensuring that security services are implemented as protection services, such as authentication and authorisation, detection services, such as monitoring and auditing, and response services, such as incident response and forensics.Develop, or inform the development of, security mechanisms and ensure the integrity of the architectures regarding security.Contribute to the annual cyber security program including reporting requirements as part of the SACSF attestation process.
You must have a National Police Check before commencing. And post-commencement the company may assist in getting you Security cleared to either baseline, or possible NV1 level.
