About the role
The position of the National Instructional Designer is primarily responsible for responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of non-accredited training programs as required by the national business and individual units.
Duties include and are not limited to:
- Working with the business units to design, develop and update training programs to meet identified needs.
- Proactively incorporating initiatives for face to face or online implementation depending on the requirement
- Working closely with state or national stakeholders and clients to deliver training programs
- Implementing assessment tools and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices to recommend innovative solutions that effectively contribute to learning and assessment that complies with regulatory standards and guidelines.
Skills & experience
- Must hold TAE40116-Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
- Demonstrated experience of developing training and assessment materials linked to specific units of competency and qualification.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to details.
- Well versed in instructional design and development of high quality, engaging training materials and resources to suit the needs of diverse cohorts, aligned with adult learning principles
- Reliable time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects within tight timeframes.
- Good working knowledge of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) and Standards for Registered Training Organisations
- As the majority of our programs are developed online through Articulate and deployed through Workday, experience in these systems is a must.
