Overview:

  • The Training and Development Officer forms part of a team with the primary purpose to provide access to clinical trials ‘closer to home’ for patients, regardless of where they live and in particular in Regional, Rural and Remote (RRR) areas.
  • The Training and Development Officer is responsible for leading, developing and coordinating training and education programs across SA on the Australian Teletrial Program.
  • This role will also be responsible for leading the process of continuous improvement through the development of after-action review systems designed to capture lessons learned, analysis commonalities and utilising this data to ensure continual growth and education of clinical trials and teletrials within Regional, Rural and Remote (RRR) areas.
  • The position is funded through a Medical Research Future Fund grant.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
