Selection will be made as P1 or P2 Level depending on the qualifications and/or experience of the successful applicant.
The department is recruiting a Vegetation Ecologist or Senior Vegetation Ecologist. As part of a survey team this exciting opportunity will take the successful applicant to unique and remote parts of the Territory to map and describe vegetation communities and provide this information to industry and government stakeholders. The NTPS offers 6 weeks annual leave with staff in the Rangelands Division renumerated for additional hours worked in the field.
To be successful, you require relevant scientific qualifications, experience and knowledge in vegetation mapping and GIS.
The role is dual banded. Applicants can apply for the P2 Senior Vegetation Ecologist role or the P1 Vegetation Ecologist. Applicants need to indicate they are applying for the P1 and/or the P2 role in their cover letter.
