The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is currently seeking applications for an APS6 Senior Network Engineer, to join the Development and Operations Team.
This hybrid position is located in Perth.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and monitoring the Tribunal's network, communication, and server infrastructure both on-premises and in the Cloud.
In this role you will work and develop with a dedicated team of enthusiastic and friendly colleagues across the country. This role offers development opportunities, and the team are committed to providing the necessary support to achieve this.

The key duties of the position include
  • Service delivery: Providing high quality, responsive and timely 3rd Level IT support to support staff and application teams. This includes assisting to monitor and manage the Service Desk system, managing incidents and problems with infrastructure, and serving as an escalation point for complex queries. Monitor and identify deficiencies in procedures and security access levels and develop options for the Assistant Director and assist in implementing the selected options.
  • Infrastructure, network, and system management: Install, monitor and maintain the ART Infrastructure (Cloud and On-prem) to ensure a high degree of availability and reliability. This includes planning, installing and configuring elements of the ART's infrastructure; monitoring system and audit logs to identify and resolve problems and issues, and making recommendations for future enhancements.
  • Advice and policy: Support ETG initiatives by participating in projects, developing and maintaining IT policies and procedures. Develop and deliver training and relevant guides to support and upskill the Service Desk and other relevant staff, with a view to reducing incidents escalated to the Platform team. Ensure ETG Agile policies and procedures are followed.
  • Customer Service: Foster effective and productive working relationships with internal ART stakeholders. Liaise with stakeholders to provide issue support and problem resolution as required.
  • Technical development: Assist Support teams in the development of ART Assist documentation. Ensure skills, training and certification are relevant to those required by the ART both now and in the immediate future.

To be successful you will have:
  • The ability to provide maintenance and support services for communication networks.
  • A strong understanding of provisioning, deploying, configuring, operating and optimising technology infrastructure across physical, virtual and cloud-based environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in installing, managing, controlling, deploying and maintaining infrastructure systems software, to meet operational needs and service levels.
  • Experience in investigating problems in systems, processes and services and implementing remedies and preventative measures to resolve problems.
  • The ability to influence stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.
  • Experience in delivering agreed outcomes from projects using appropriate management techniques, collaboration, leadership and governance.
